Dr. William L King, MD is Ivy League trained, certified in Orthopedics and Hand Reconstruction who received his training at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Annie C. Kane Fellow NYU Orthopedic Hospital and Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center Orthopedic Surgery. He then went on to expend his proficiency in hand reconstruction at Hand and Microvascular Surgery University of Colorado, Health & Science Center Denver, Co.

Dr. King has been around for a long time. Highly experienced, no red tape. I broke my dominant hand on the job in 2017. Health Services gave me a runaround about whether or not I needed surgery (it was obvious I did). The nurse recommended Dr. King. I was able to get a same-day appointment, Dr. King waited for me longer than he had to, and within an hour I had a surgical appointment for 2 weeks later. Worker's Comp info be damned, Helen said don't worry about it, she knew how NYC worked. The surgery went off without a hitch. Dr. King was outstanding and he really helped clarify everything that was going on. Helen was amazingly patient with her efforts to get the workers comp people in line. I ended up having a second surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome related to the fracture 3 years later. Normally you'd have no chance getting something like that attached to the original case, but not with Dr. King's staff. They were able to get everything tied together and there were no missed steps. My comp case is nearing settlement and though I do have some loss of use, it's a trade-off for such great care. I was pleasantly surprised at how good Dr. King was. I have recommended him to several friends and coworkers. He's a rare find in the complicated field orthopedic surgery.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Doctor King in 2014 when my husband practically sliced of one of his index finger with a table saw. Doctor King performed two surgeries on him. One for reattachment and the other at a later date to repair extensive nerve damage. Both surgeries were a resounding success. I met with him today 3/16/2020 because of a prolonged pain in my left wrist, which he diagnosed as De Quervain’s tenosynovitis and commenced treatment. He is one of the best doctors I have ever dealt with. He has all the great qualities that is required of a person that people goes to see when they are at their worst. His gentle, kind and caring demeanor makes you you feel comfortable asking questions about your condition. Helen, Arlene and Dr. King have been outstanding professionals and I have had four successful surgeries and my husband is about to have an over due procedure. Health care has become a complicated business, and that is what it is.............................period. I called the office to make an appointment Helen and Arlene are the rudest office clerks I have ever encountered. I asked how to request medical records from a prior visit and they told me they were lost in a flood. Go elsewhere if you want to be treated with respect and not diagnosed over the telephone by someone answering the phone. They hung up on me twice and refused to give me Dr.Kings email . Horrible office manner

WILLIAM L. KING, MD is an Orthopedic Surgery Specialist in New York and New Jersey, who is a
recognized authority in the field of trauma and sports medicine and has over 46 years of experience in the medical
field.
Dr. King has been recognized as “One of New York’s Best Doctors” by Top Doctors New York Magazine for the
last eighteen years. In 2000, he was accepted as a member of the American Orthopaedic Association, which signifies
honor and accomplishment in orthopedics and a commitment to active leadership in the specialty.
Dr. King is a native New Yorker and a graduate of Columbia University. He received his medical degree from
Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons School of Medicine in 1974.
He completed his residency training in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Annie C. Kane Fellow NYU
Orthopedic Hospital and Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center Orthopedic Surgery. He then went on to complete a
one-year fellowship in hand reconstruction, Hand and Microvascular Surgery University of Colorado, Health &
Science Center Denver, Co.
Currently, Dr. King serves as Clinical Instructor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Hospital for Joint
Disease and New York University Medical Center in Manhattan.

Dr. King serves as Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
He actively consults New York City Fire Department since 1982 to Present as well as New York Hotels &
Restaurant Trades Consul.
Currently, as a devoted orthopedic doctor, Dr. King is working on development and improvement of minimally
invasive techniques in the management of shoulder and knee disorders.
